Self Tape Technique

In today’s industry, your self-tape is your audition room. Since COVID, the vast majority of casting now happens remotely, and for actors, that means the ability to deliver a powerful, professional, and memorable self-tape is no longer optional—it’s essential.

This class is designed to elevate your self-tapes to a booking level, focusing on the specific skills and tools required to stand out in the digital casting space. Actors will work on real audition sides, with feedback on framing, lighting, performance choices, eye lines, and technical delivery, as well as how to adjust for different genres and tone.

Each week includes on-camera work, playback analysis, and coaching, with a focus on bringing truth and spontaneity to performances—even in the most controlled environments. You’ll leave the class with a clear system for approaching any self-tape with confidence, clarity, and creative ownership.
